Los Cabos Art Walk Nights

Have you found yourself in Los Cabos, Mexico, looking for a fresh way to spend your evening? Worry not – there are two art-based walking activities that are sure to keep you entertained.

From chatting to local artists and musicians to sampling some culinary delights, the art walks in Los Cabos are a peaceful stroll through the less-explored back streets of the city.

San Jose Del Cabo Art Walk – Thursdays

All throughout the peak tourism season of November – June, the Gallery District Association in San Jose Del Cabo organized a weekly art walk. It is held every Thursday evening between 5-9 pm.

The San Jose Del Cabo art walk is great for anyone who appreciates art or just wants to explore the deeper culture of the area. You will drift away from the Main Square and begin discovering the local galleries.

Stop for a drink or a bite to eat at one of Baja California Sur’s leading establishments, including the likes of Baja Brewing Company. Enjoy classic Mexican cuisine in the heart of the Gallery District at La Lupita Taco & Mezcal.

With the ever-increasing popularity of the Thursday art walk drawing larger numbers of crowds, you might be lucky enough to encounter a local artist unveiling a new work of art for the first time. There should be plenty of opportunities for you to chat with local artists and get a feel for what makes the Gallery District’s art culture so unique.

Viva La Plaza! Art Walk – Fridays

Cabo San Lucas also offers its own art walk – it centers around Plaza Amelia Wilkes between 5 pm and 9 pm on Friday nights.

The ‘Viva La Plaza’ art walk in Cabo San Lucas plays out on the main town square which is named after the first woman to hold political office in the region of Baja California Sur.

Featuring a beautifully renovated central gazebo, a natural history museum, and plenty of street art. The indoor gallery space might not compare to the art walk of San Jose Del Cabo, but ‘Viva La Plaza!’ is just as magical.

There’s something for everyone to enjoy at ‘Viva La Plaza’:

This is truly a vibrant celebration every Friday night, with a huge variety of cultures mixing to share art, music and dance.
