Which side of south Baja is better, the East Cape or the Pacific Ocean? I get asked this question a lot. And my answer is always “Let’s talk a little bit about both and see which is a better fit for you”. Los Cabos is best known for its natural beauty and incredible weather. The desert’s cool and dry conditions make it a year-round destination by having an average of only 10 rainy days a year. Time and again, dear reader, blog after blog, you are asked to envision your perfect dream home among all the Real Estate that Cabo San Lucas offers. You are presented with beautiful photos of Cabo that entice and, sometimes, beguile. As humans, it is in our nature to dream and many of us DREAM BIG. It is the Sun, sand, surf, temperate climate, and local cuisine that often act as the protagonist in these dreams. We envision ourselves surrounded by the incomparable natural beauty of Cabo, carefree, enjoying all that the community and environs offer, such as exceptional restaurants and local bars, secluded beaches, or bustling nightlife in town. Los Cabos is the most know destination of the Baja Peninsula, followed by Valle de Guadalupe, but there is so much to see along the 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) in between. My parents started vacationing in Cabo San Lucas in the early 1980s; in January 1990, they moved permanently and have resided there since. Being avid travelers, my parents would take my brother and me on road trips from Los Cabos, sometimes as far north as Tofino, on Vancouver Island. As my brother and I got older, my family exchanged the long road trips for shorter flights to more distant destinations. First of all, thank you all for your support and friendships throughout the years. I have known many of you for most of my life and have had the honor and pleasure of working with you throughout my career in the Los Cabos real estate industry. It is great to be back at The Agency Los Cabos in my new capacity as Vice theagencyloscabos of Sales for our beautiful and unique territory of Baja California Sur, where we currently have five offices in Los Cabos, Todos Santos, and La Paz.Heads or tails? I’d have to say it’s a toss-up.
